Shipyard Artists open their studios to the public for a weekend of free events. All are Kid and Pet Friendly.
Over 100 Artists Opening Their Studios – Get a firsthand look inside the working spaces of our incredible artists and experience their creative process up close.
Live Music & Great Food – We’ve lined up fantastic musicians for the food areas and are curating delicious dining options to enhance your experience.
NEW: Silent Art Auction – For the first time, our Spring Open Studios will feature a silent art auction in the Shipyard Gallery (Building 101). Nearly every participating artist will contribute, offering a unique opportunity to preview and bid on works both in person and online.
Family Fun – Kid-friendly art activities by Art Rocks Clubhouse and free art-making kits by the Museum of Craft and Design.

Thing TWO: San Francisco International film festival

Founded in 1957, the San Francisco International Film Festival (SFFILM Festival) is the longest-running film festival in the Americas. The annual event features a range of marquee premieres, international competitions, compelling documentaries, short and mid-length films, live music performances, and dazzling red carpet events. The SFFILM Festival is deeply rooted in the culture and process of film appreciation—film as an art form and as a meaningful agent for social change—and is an important showcase for the most searching and innovative films from around the globe.
