Harman Projects is pleased to announce A Creature Having A Dream About Himself, a solo exhibition by San Francisco-based artist Jason Jägel.

In his latest exhibition, Jägel's paintings depict autobiographical fictional worlds where anything can happen. Through bold layered applications of color, lines, figures, and writing, each piece presents a place with its own inner life and possibilities.

Of his process, he shares that:
Often, when making art, I would rather have an experience where I’m inspired by something not directly related to my field. That indirectness invites me to make up the space between in such a way that I don’t know what the results are going to be. From within that process are opportunities to discover things I couldn’t have prescribed.
