Minnesota Street Project Foundation and KADIST are pleased to announce Character Development, a group exhibition bringing together six video installations, each featuring the artist on-screen in different guises and roles.

Drawing on cinematic history through citation, reinterpretation, and critique, the artworks in the exhibition address contemporary social issues ranging from consumer culture to feminism, treating characters—in all their instability—as both structure and strategy. Acknowledging the approaches to character and persona that came before, the artists explore how identities are built, performed, and challenged. Together and apart, the works share social developments alongside character fears, flaws, and fixations.

Presented across the Exhibition Warehouse and Screening Gallery, Character Development includes work by internationally acclaimed artists Sophia Al-MariaKorakrit ArunanondchaiSara CwynarAlex Da CorteBeatrice Gibson, and Martine Syms
