nomadic dreamer: a modern myth of shelter and passage

In my ongoing allegorical project, Nomadic Dreamer, I create a universe where the line between shelter and self disappears. Each figure wears a house as a head — a surreal, symbolic fusion of architecture and identity. These beings inhabit a world of my own making, where the structures we live in are not just backgrounds but living extensions of who we are.

This work explores how we carry our histories, emotional landscapes, and social environments with us — sometimes literally on our shoulders. The houses become masks, armor, burdens, and sanctuaries all at once. They represent memory, protection, isolation, and the inherited patterns of domestic life. In building this world, I invite viewers to step into an alternate reality — one that questions how we define "home," and how that differs from “house”, what is the difference between the two, and how these concepts define us in return.

I approach world-building not just as a fantasy exercise but as an act of resistance and reconstruction. This is a space where other rules apply — where we can imagine new structures of belonging, new architectures of the self. Nomadic Dreamer is both playful and unsettling: a reimagination of reality through the lens of constructed forms and emotional truths. The history of humanity is a history of movement, a process; we are in the middle of the story…
