Thing one: Valencia Street Night Market

As if Valencia Street could get any cooler, announcing the new Valencia Street Night Market.
Starting May 8, 2025, Valencia Street will be closed for its very own Night Market on Valencia Street between 16th and 19th Streets—in the American Indian Cultural District—the second Thursday of every month from May to December of 2025 from 5-10pm.

Savor local food and delicious drinks
Shop with amazing brick and mortars and pop-up market hosted by the American Indian Cultural District and American Indian Cultural Center
Dance to live music in the streets curated by Carnaval SF, Blondie’s and The Chapel

Thing TWO: Lines Ballet Spring Season
Saturday, may 10-18th
Experience the world premiere of Alonzo King’s first-ever collaboration with legendary jazz trumpeter and composer Ambrose Akinmusire, performing live with LINES Ballet. The program also includes the return of King’s enormously popular Scheherazade, with a score by the late four-time Grammy Award-winning tabla master Zakir Hussain. Join us as we pay tribute to Zakir, our longtime collaborator and friend, hailed by The New York Times as “a master of North Indian classical music and a linchpin of far-reaching world-music fusions.”

A short drive across the Golden Gate Bridge welcomes you to this oasis of artists’ studios in Sausalito.
You will see a mix of mediums and styles. Explore studios and engage in thought-provoking and inspiring conversations with working local artists. Works are available for sale, so feel free to bring home your favorite work(s) of art.
